Quality Assurance & Control of Gas Separation Membrane

1. Working Principle of Gas Separation Membrane
Gas membrane separation technology makes use of the different gas transmission rates in the gas mixture through gas separation membrane, so as to realize gas separation by collecting gas with high transmission rate at the permeated side, and collecting that with low transmission rate at the other side.
2. Working Principle for G2/110X Separation Membrane Permeability Tester
The gas transmission chamber of G2/110X Separation Membrane Permeability Analyzer is separated by the gas separation membrane at a certain temperature. Then, the operator purges gas mixture at a certain pressure into one side, and achieves vacuum at the other side. Thus, a gas pressure difference is formed between two sides of the membrane. Gas would transmit through the membrane and into the low pressure side. The gas would then be carried to the separation chamber along with the carrier gas flow. FID, flame ionization detector, would accomplish gas content measurement, and calculate gas transmission quantities of different gases through a unit area within a unit time.
